This 1978 Vespa P 125 X is in amazing condition and would be a great addition to a collection or for a first time Vespa owner. It was originally sold through the Mid-America Vespa distributor to a Mr. Beebee in Topeka, Kansas. I purchased it two years ago from a school in Kansas who had received it as a donation from a gentleman in Kansas who had been the second owner. I had it shipped out to California where I got it registered and titled. I then began performing repairs and cosmetic upgrades. My goal was to keep it as original as possible so I used my resources as a professional restorer to paint several pieces such as the side covers and front fender. The following is a list of work that was preformed.- Removed engine from frame and cleaned- Replaced clutch- Removed carbon from piston and cylinder head- Replaced several engine gaskets- Rebuilt carburetor- Replaced spark plug- Repainted all three rims- Installed new tubes and tires (Continental) - Rebuilt fuel valve- Repaired leaking oil tank- Replaced battery- Cleaned speedometer glass- Replaced seat coveringThe mileage is original at 1,564 miles. I have driven it this week and it runs, shifts and brakes great. The registration is valid until July 10, 2016.It also includes the original tool kit as well as the very rare tire inflation pump. I will throw in a copy of the parts manual as well. I am available during the auction for you to inspection the vehicle at my home in Santa Ana, California. Please ask any questions before bidding!
