1968 STREET LEGAL VW BUGGY Excellent condition. Complete restoration that included the frame and all components. Truly a “frame off” restoration. Frame is from a 1968 VW air cooled bug. The body is from an early 1960s Sand Piper. The body was stretched (instead of chopping the frame) so it runs well at highway speeds. All engine, machine work and painting was by a professional. Specifications: 1968 frame and title. Currently it is registered as a regular car and passes inspection every year. Body is from an early 1960s Sandpiper and has been completely restored. Engine: 1776 cc built in 2010. twin Solex carburetors twin exhaust systems professionally rebuilt transmission complete front end is new Brake lines and all major componetry are new. Complete fiberglass restoration. Professionally painted. Dashboard and all wood work are hand made from red Oak and finished to fine furniture grade. Car has about 3000 miles on it.
