*NO RESERVE* *VIN 119014462* *CLEAR TITLE*Selling my Dune Buggy because I have to make room for a frame off restoration of my sons Jeep. I purchased the buggy for $2,750 back in 2010 and have been working on it on and off since then. It hasn’t left my barn because it still needs a clutch. I really don’t want to sell it, but it will probably never be finished along with all my other projects anyway. I still have the paperwork from when I purchased the buggy where the previous owner described it as “Motor built to 1882cc. Was a dual port, bus tranny. All new wiring, paint, gas lines, key switch, lights, and switches, pushrod tubes and bushings, turn signals, etc. street legal. Comes with tow bar. Engine sounds great.”I am not sure how much of that I would believe because he said it would go down the road by putting a battery in it. What I have done so far to try to get it out of the garage. I have all receipts. It hasn’t been driven since all this stuff was added by a Volkswagen mechanic. (Huntsman’s Auto Service)Tie Rods $52Two things I can’t read $22, and $24Seals $10 – It has been setting so long, it will need new seals again…Pro something that cost $275. I don’t remember what it was.Another receipt from Huntsman's for T-Rods seals and filters for $179.46. I can’t read all of that either, but he has part numbers on the receipt. Axles, CV joints, real seal kit, and axle boots for $287.54I put new brake calipers, brake hoses, and brake lines on it. The guy that sold it to me said that the master cylinder was new. I wasn’t able to get the brakes to pump up. I also put new shocks on it. Again, I have all receipts. It does come with the dual lever back brake controller if you want to install it. I also added Racing Components Incorporated racing seats, seat belts, (the passenger seat and seat belts aren't bolted in yet, but I have the bolts) and I have a new stainless steel cable for the clutch. (I broke the old cable because I adjusted it too tight to see if the clutch that was in it would engage. I also have a new smaller steering wheel to put in it so it is easier to get in and out. I have to make room now, as you can see from my barn, and I know I’m not going to get the $4000 invested, but it is a good start for your project. The windshield that came with it is plastic and isn’t bolted in. I’m sure it is scratched up from setting around the pole barn for years. Ask me anything else you want to know. I haven’t started it for a couple of years, but I did drain and put gas in it a couple of years ago, when I was thinking about working on it again. I’m sure we can get it fired up when you come to look at it. It will need a battery and tires lol, but at least you know closer to the project it is then I did when I bought it. It does have a street legal title. 1985 body type CNGood luck and happy bidding.
