This is a 3/4 midget that I bought as a basket case. My interests changed to earlier, full midgets so I am selling this project.
It has a Kawasaki liquid cooled, two cycle 440 twin that turns over with good compression, but I did not try to start it. Steering gear is a nice Shroeder unit. Main frame appears to be in excellent shape....I could not find a manufacturers plate or a serial number. Rear axle is apparently an ALCO, but is missing the quick change gears. Wheels are aluminum multi-piece and look to be in good condition. Hoosier tires are probably too old for anything except rolling the car around. Note the decal showing that this is a Registered Car in the Midwest Oldtimers Vintage Racing Club. Perhaps that is an indication of its age.
This TQ midget has been loosely assembled into a roller (as you see in the photos) . The car could be bought for parts or returned to racing IF you are able to completely disassemble it, put it together properly and add the missing parts. The car has been assembled for convenience only and is NOT fit for racing at this time. The car is NOT complete! Missing parts include, but are not limited to: seat, steering wheel, brake hub, mounting plate for brake caliper (brake disc and Bicknell caliper are there), quick change gears, front radius rods (I fitted temporary aluminum pipe to mount the front axle), steering tie rod, steering wishbone and steering drag link. Everything I am selling is in the photos. If you don't see it in the photos, I don't have it.
Car is in Burlington, Wisconsin and is available for pick up there. I will not ship it, but I can probably deliver it in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York or western New England for a reasonable price.
