Here's a chance to own a very cool piece of snowmobile history!  Back in the early 90's Yamaha finally decided to get into the horsepower war and compete with the Polaris Triples and big displacement Cats and Ski Doos.  They figured figured why not do them one better and make their open class sled an inline four cylinder.  And so the V-Max 750 was born.  I was working at a Yamaha dealer when these sleds were introduced and this actual sled came from that dealer in the Grand Rapids, MI area.  I still remember the first one we received and the sound that it made when it was first fired up.  It really is like nothing else!  Snow Goer magazine named the Vmax 4 Sled of the Year in 1992.  A couple years later, Yamaha bumped the displacement to 800 and finally discontinued production in 1996.OK, enough of the history lesson.  I'm guessing that if you're checking out this auction, you probably know most of that already.  This sled is a fine example of an unmolested survivor!  1,331 miles, all stock with the exception of 192 carbide studs and larger carbide runners.  The last registration sticker on it is 1994.  Unfortunately, I don't know all the history of this sled but if I had to guess, it was only run for 2 seasons and then put away in storage.  It was a runner when I got it so some one maintained the fuel system. Mechanically, everything appears to be in good working condition.  The track is great, the runners still have a lot of life left, all the original idler wheels are good.  The sled fires right up and runs strong.  I checked the chain case oil and it looked clean and full.  If you're going to ride the sled, I would recommend maybe going through the clutch.  There is some surface rust on the rollers and weights.  Cosmetically, the sled is very clean as seen in the pictures.  There are only a few areas to note:  The hood has a small scuff on the front, left corner - it would probably buff out.  The large decal on the left looks like some brake fluid or battery acid dripped on it.  Both of these can be seen in one of the pictures.  The snow flap is marked up from the studs.  The bezel around the instruments has some strange discoloration to it - again, can be seen in the picture.  The aluminum skis are somewhat corroded.  The rear bumper has some scrapes on it.  I don't want to scare you off with these things because the sled is really nice but I want to be up front with any minor issues so there are no surprises.  I don't think there will be any disappointments!Local pick up is preferred as I don't have a shipper but I am happy to help any way I can if you make the arrangements for shipping.  Payment in full and pick up is due within 7 days of auctions end unless previous arrangements are made.  Please ask any questions you may have before bidding.  Thank you!
