2012 Tomos Moped Sprint ST 1000 miles Clear Title Runs Well Video

Less Than 1,000 Miles Total Runs Great, See Video Clear Virginia Title This moped was purchased from the original owner in early September of 2015. It had some issues with the piston and cylinder, so I rebuilt the entire engine (good used stock cylinder head piston, freshly lined clutches, bearings, seals, etc) Also installed at the time- new mirrors and smaller rear sprocket. The top speed was around a little over 40 mph. After less than 15 miles of running, myself and the moped were involved in an accident hit by another car. Just recently, I went through it all yet again and fixed everything. It now has NEW front brakes, front axle, brake levers, throttle mount, fuel line, misc. gaskets, seals, engine parts, excellent tires, no leaks. The air snorkle has been de-restricted. As you can see from the video it runs very well and starts instantly- as any good Tomos should. The brakes work well, shifts smoothly, lights work fine. I run a pre-mix in the tank, and do not have the factory oil injector installed (they are crap). Still has the stock Delorto carburetor with a #55 ? main jet. This comes with two extra jets, so it can be tweaked to your liking-along misc. repair manuals. In the video you may be able to hear a clack clack/rattling sound. I have had several Tomos’s over the years and some do it and some don’t. There’s a little clip inside the transmission that rocks back and forth. This is of no issue-other than an annoying sound. I notice it more on this due to the stock exhaust. Overall, it’s a fantastic and lively little machine! Perfect for puttering around a small town or city- and idles very well. My only recommendations would be to install down the road a bi-turbo performance exhaust. That would make it feel much more alive. Other than that, Good Luck and Mopeding !
