Before you read further, please be aware one of these boats is damaged, it has a small crack in the hull.
I am a 62 year old life-long boater. We have a 97 Marlow that we take to the Bahamas every summer and usually stay all summer long. I purchased these 2 SeaDoo's brand new from Barney's in Brandon, FL. We trailered them to the big boat, put them on the top where they stayed until we rode them in the Bahamas from time to time. I took them off at the end of last season and had them serviced at Barney's. I put them back on the trailer to take them back to the big boat but while slowly backing the trailer in the parking lot, the trailer struck a tree. Actually, the SeaDoo on the right side of the trailer struck a tree, slightly damaged the transom of the little boat but the impact surprisingly cracked the hull of that SeaDoo. I am putting them up for sale as I have no time to repair it.Please know I have all the books and records on these 2 boats, I bought them brand new and they have always been covered, except when ridden. They have never been neglected, abused, sunk or crashed. They have been waxed since new, engines always flushed after riding and serviced by the same, selling authorized SeaDoo dealer and are in excellent condition, except for the unfortunate mishap mentioned above. The damaged boat will slowly take on water when launched and the other boat is excellent. You will have to repair the crack in the hull before you can use the damaged boat safely. I have provided a picture of the crack in the hull, which is located on the port side of the hull, forward, but just aft of the strake. I have provided a photo of the damaged transom, as well. My phone number is 904-679-1099 if you have any questions. We live in St. Augustine, FL, where the boats are located.
I would agree for you to buy the boats on eBay, pick them up, take them and have them inspected and then collect your payment if you decide to keep them. In other words, I wouldn't want you to buy them unless you are fully aware of everything. It's really not that bad, but the one boat needs the crack repaired.
