This 1959 MOSS 1/2 midget was produced by the Bill Moss Engineering facility (192 E. Beach Avenue, Inglewood, CA) and designed by winning Indy 500 car builder George Salih. During the late 1950's & early 1960's Moss produced quarter midget and half midget versions for drivers from age 3 to adult, the half midget has a larger cockpit size. These cars utilized independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering, a 1” diameter rear axle running in sealed self-aligning ball bearings with 6” diameter front and rear wheels and tires. Bodies were well constructed one-piece heavy fiberglass with a removable tail cone. Period correct Kohler motor with electric starter, never raced, never wrecked. Recent restoration includes new chrome, upholstery, tires, custom vintage looking pearl paint by Butch Brinza Studios in Payson, Arizona and many other details, runs and drives fine.I can assist your shipper (cart is about 40" wide and about 86" long).
