1973 VW Dune Buggy, in need of finishing. Details>>>>> started with 3 VW's 1971, 1973, and a early 60's My brother and I started this project bout 3 yrs ago, 1973 Super Beetle cause we wanted the bigger motor, Had the 1973 motor rebuilt and beefed up. we removed the 73 front axle replaced with the 60's frontend swapped the front spindles to stay with the 5 hole hubs. removed floor pan and shortened the frame, then welded in diamond plate, caulked and sealed underneath and painted black... added chrome to the engine and exhaust system, Has aftermarket parts, cables, brake master cylinder, shoes, lines, all replaced, 4 new gold anodized centerline type rims, chrome steering column and steering wheel and adapter, Have 2 new aftermarket chrome headlights,wiring harness, tail lights are led. Seats are out of a 280ZX that will fit nicely. windshield frame, fuel tank was soaked in vinegar last yr but may need to be done again. fiberglass body has had body work done need to finish hood but only minor cracking, dash has had all holes sealed so you can cut your own to fit what you want, all it needs is painted your color. new beading for fenders any and all parts I have go with..... email any questions...... will need to be trailered. Title is not in my name but the title I have matches to Serial# on body hump. I will assist in loading on trailer if needed... It has been setting under my carport for the past year covered with tarp so it is dusty, seats will need to be recovered although in good condition. I just do not have time to finish, I have other irons in the fire that need finished first and its wasting away just setting there, Im not sure the body type Manx???? |
