The 1997 XP was a marked departure from the previous models. An all new hull specific to the XP was developed which brought a "lean in" style of riding to the craft. Further enhancing this was Sea-Doo's "Direct Action Suspension," a raised seat that was mounted on a pivot and had a shock absorber at the opposite end. The 110HP 782cc engine was carried over, as was the predominantly yellow with black accents color scheme. The 1997 boat was over 90 lbs heavier than the 1996 boat, which resulted in slower acceleration from the previous year although realizing a top speed gain by about 1 mph. Nonetheless, the riding experience was enough for the XP to win WaterCraft World's Watercraft of the Year award in 1997. Top speed is about 55 mph...maybe more. This jetski has a new engine installed. Everything works including tilt and throttle. A new battery that is trickle charged and is kept in good condition. Gallon of oil (I believe i have this somewhere); which you barely use. Have clear certificate of title. Will also do bill of sale on final payment and exchange full contact information and documentation. Selling it cheap because I need to get rid of it as I'm moving it out of garaged kept storage at a storage facility at Adams County Storrage I76 and Pecos I've drove it about 3 times a year for the past three years, since I've replaced the engine. I know of 2 previous owners. Runs flawlessly. I work full time and am starting a business and don't have time to deal with it. The left trailer tail light needs to be replaced as it broke. 13$ repair and the part is at Walmart; the submersably trailer light. Takes high octane gas 93. Has new wearings with normal wear. It's a good deal. Trailer is 4 pin. Lights work minus the one I broke. I wired it, I'm a electrician. 1" 3/8" Trailer hinge.Trailer comes with a heavy duty wheel lock. Looking for someone to sell it to who has time to use it, to be able to take trailer to DMV to get VIN inspection (must be done on both "vehicles at DMV," get the trailer assigned VIN, get registered and licensed. These are CO laws.Serious buyers only! This must be taken care of Saturday Mornings of the 27th, 3rD, or 10th of upcoming dates.
