For sale is my vintage 1979 Vespa P125X. This line of scooters was first presented in Italy in 1977. These classic scooters are highly sought after by collectors for their timeless look and for their unmatched reliability and craftsmanship. I'm selling mine because I'm upgrading to a motorcycle to commute across the bridges (I wouldn't recommend Vespa-ing across the bridges).  The scooter has a 123cc single cylinder, two stroke engine that is oil injected. You do not need to mix fuel; there is a separate reservoir for 2 stroke oil. It has a four speed manual grip shift transmission, front and back drum brakes, and front suspension. The headlight, tail light, turn signals and brake lights all work. This model does not have an electric ignition; you have to kick start. It has a locking glove box with the original toolset (plus some extras), the original owners manual, a tire pump and a spare tire.
I have used the bike regularly for the past 2 years.  It has been sitting for 2 months as I try to sell it.  I'll push it out of the garage, clean the plug, and it will start after 5-10 minutes of furious tinkering.  I'll let it sit a while and a week later I will have to repeat the tinkering.  The bike could most likely use a carb rebuild but otherwise is in complete working order.

An enthusiast looking for a "mint" bike should look elsewhere. The bike is mostly original with the exception of the front fender and the white stripe. The owner before me touched up the white paint and repainted the fender and even considered repainting the entire bike but ultimately decided to keep the bike's original "patina". When I first received the bike I wet sanded some areas and painted a layer or two of clear coat. To my knowledge, the mileage on the bike is correct. The condition of the speedometer face matches that of the bike.  If you have any further questions please submit by email.
