I am the 2nd owner, owned since 1993 when I bought from the original owner and bike still had the tits on the tires. I replace rear fender plastic at that time because of a crack with new Factory Plastic, I also did a few upgrades then, pipe, trail ported cylinder by PSI (original std bore jug and piston included with sale) handlebar ect, but it has been road very little the last 10 years, starts and runs drives and everything works as it should, suspension and steering is tight, still has factory original brake pads and all suspension/ axle  bearings ect, engine lower end never opened, I have all original parts except the factory handlebars and rear grab bar but look at pictures and you can see all the good parts are there. The cosmetics on this bike shows that its almost 30 years old and does have a few flaws in places, the frame has no cracks or repairs but has the normal paint wore on the sides from boots, also has paint flaked off on a few spot on the front and surface rust has started where paint came off (see pictures) front a arm are still nice and minimal paint gone on bottom from weeds ( I put silver tape on the front edge of the lower tubes years ago). Plastics are all factory honda, rear fenders, tank and head light hood plastic are not cracked or spider webbed or faded but do have the normal scuffs marks ect,  front OEM fenders are not cut but do have a few miner cracks and are spider webbed like most of these have done (see pictures) The factory seat has one small crack that has started and does have some darker spots in the cover (see picture) and also the handlebar kill switch edge has a small piece of plastic missing,  overall this bike is in very nice shape for the year, perfect to restore or ride as is. I also have every bit of paper work and both manuals that came with it when new, very very hard to find these document. Always stored inside and very well maintainedI'm just going to say that I'm also on the fence on letting this go, yes I'm in my 50's now and it don't get road much at all any more but it would be hard pressed for me to replace it now days with one that is as good.  I am listing this to see what interest it brings, yes the market has been a little soft the last couple years but I don't need to sell it to pay the rent ect. Alot have said over the years that the 1988 TRX 250R is the most sought after sport quad of all time and in my opinion that is true, I have spent alot of time on all kinds of quads over the years old and new and I not yet found one that will do what one of these will do  as well as the 88-89 TRX's, very well balanced for all types of riding and with the light weight low center of gravity and powerful water cooled 2 stroke also low cost for maintenance its no wonder they have held the test of time. The older crowd that has spent some seat time on one knows what I mean,  younger crowd most don't understand and wouldn't without the seat time or being around these machines and how far they were ahead of there time. This is the last qaud  that I have and there is a reason for that, a lot of the latest and greatest have been in my possession over the years and none have stayed around near as long as this one.local pick up only if sold
