I purchased this scooter new last year. SYM (which stands for San Yang Motors) has been building scooters and motorcycles in Taiwan for dozens of years. They used to build Hondas for Honda until SYM starting building their own and became a competitor. SYM manufactures several different models, and they are sold all over the world ... however, in the U.S. the 3 Japanese brands dominate the scooter market (Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha).You can read all the specs and see video at alliancepowersports dot com. I ordered this bike new from the importer in California. This scooter goes at least 72 MPH (which is what the specs say but I think it goes faster), and gets at least 65 MPG. One day I hastily put it on the stand on an incline, but was not looking and it rocked forward off the stand and fell on it's side; this is the only time it has been down, and it only got minor scratches as a result. New rear tire installed March 30th, and new drive belt installed within the last month. Lots of storage in huge seat compartment. It has always been garaged or under cover. God willing, I'm moving to South America and selling my belongings. Come check it out!You must pick up this scooter in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
