One of the great quads of all time. 1999 Honda TRX300FW Fourtrax AWD 4x4 ATV. VERY rare and hard to find in this condition. Expertly maintained with the following having been done within the past 2 years of ownership:-Newer rear drive differential and axle (just prior to my acquiring it)
-Supertrapp IDS2 full exhaust (original rotted badly)
-4 front ball joints replaced 2 years ago
-Full Barnett clutch
-drop in K&N air filter in factory airbox
-new batteryNYS clear title, 2 ignition keys, ITP mud lite tires in very good to excellent condition and no accidents. Frame is straight with very minimal surface rust, plastics are cracked around storage compartment in the rear but not from abuse, only normal wear and tear type stuff. See picture for detail. Paint on tank is a bit faded/discolored, one minor dent on the outside, inside of tank is rust free and clean. Unknown hours or mileage. Former gas company gas line inspection vehicle that was maintained by Honda mechanics while in service. Axles and cv boots in excellent condition. I currently have 2 of these exact quads, and this one is incredibly strong running. I suspect that (but have no records of) significant work was performed inside the motor (possibly bored oversize, possibly larger cam) as this is about twice as strong as it's twin brother. Don't need two of these quads so this is the one I'm selling (bought this second one for the wife but she's just not had the free time nor the interest. For the past two years that I've owned it, it's been in rotation where one day this one gets ridden, then the other quad the following day). Plus, I could use the cash for my car project and it'd also be nice to free up a little extra storage space.Whoever gets this quad will not be disappointed with the condition. Not perfect, but ready for a season of riding or work. Fresh oil change as of 4/20/17. If unfamiliar with the Fourtrax quads like these, do a quick internet search and you'll soon see that these are legendary for what they're able to go through, over and around while still being light enough to lift out of a bad situation if need be. Transmission is an automatic clutch with manual shift - VERY durable and reliable.I advise getting in touch with me to see or test in person.
