Up for sale is a 1968 Bonanza BC1200 survivor. Made in San Jose, California, with Bonanza serial number 29085. Overall, this the nicest survivor I have ever owned or seen. It is about as pristine as you'll ever find. Every piece impresses more than the last. The only thing that isn't original is the seat, which was made to exact spec as the original, but it's nice and soft so you can ride the bike without worry of damaging it.The fenders look incredible and the clutch guard is just as nice. The chrome is about perfect all over. The paint on the frame isn't faded or worn out and is still vibrant blue throughout the bike. There is wear in the obvious places but it the overall condition is excellent. The original BTE throttle is in great shape and the grips are about as perfect as you could ask for.The original Tecumseh engine reads  "MODEL H35-45180F SERIAL 866 03627". This dates the engine to the 66th day of the year, 1968. The original paint is nice and bright with very little wear. The decal on the engine is new, but is a good representation of the original. The fuel tank is clean inside and includes the original gas cap. I don't think the engine was ran very much, indicated by the amount of paint still left on the original muffler.  It has good compression, and spark, and starts strong. It idles great but needs a carb adjustment before it'll run like it should. I will attempt to get it adjusted and make it run right. Here's a link to see the bike start and run: https://youtu.be/ebbMA6JLtog  The lighting coil is putting out voltage as it should. The kickstand is nice and straight with no rust. It stays up when you put it up and it holds the bike up when you put it down. The wheels have been bead blasted and clear coated to preserve them from oxidation. They have no chips, scratches or cracks as far as I can tell. The original General tires look brand new. Lots of tread and no signs of cracking. The tires and tubes hold air and look perfect. It looks like the sprocket and brake housing were painted silver sometime ago. The chain was replaced around the same time with new heavy duty EK brand chain. The rear shocks are in really great shape. The chrome is bright. They show some signs of age, but very little wear. They move up and down like they're supposed to. The fork suspension moves as it should and the fork boots look like new.The headlight body looks new. The bulb has been replaced with a new (not GE) bulb and works great. The original bulb is included in this listing. The taillight is complete and the lens is in good shape. The body shows some wear and surface patina, but is solid. The brake graps and holds and stops like it should. The cable and brake lever are good and work correctly. The footpegs are nice and clean, not bent up or rusted. I have done my best to describe each part. What I haven't described is most likely in the pictures. However, if you have questions or need more pictures, just ask. I will not disassemble this bike for shipping. I will not box or crate it up for shipping. I am offering local pickup and will work with a freight or shipping service if the buyer chooses that route. U-Ship is my recommended service and is safe and affordable most of the time.
