I am the original owner of This 1987 Honda 200X ATC, needs all 3 tires, as they are still the OEM tires it came with but have dry rotted, the seat and rear fenders will need replacing, front fender showing sings of dry rot but in tact, however everything else esthetically is sound with usual wear.  Mechanically, all it needs is a carb kit and it will be ready to go.  I kept overhauling carb, would use it around the property to keep it running, but then would just stay parked months at a time till the carb would get gummed up again.  It has low hours for the year, the last time I had it running it ran as it always had before, strong and very fast.  I had also had the entire break system redone the last time I had it at the shop for carb overhaul because they too gummed up.  In 1986 the 200X was completely redesigned with no major parts being the same as the 1st generation. The 86 & 87 models have all square tubing frames rather than the round tubing frames. The engine was completely redesigned as were the fenders, the seat, the gas tank, the headlight components, everything. The 1986 and 1987 models also came with a 6 speed transmission. The 1986 and 1987 models were all white with blue seats. The 1986 had red air scoops and the 1987 had white air scoops. The 1986 model had a silver swing arm and the 1987 had a red swing arm. Also, the 1987 had a keyed ignition switch, while the 1986 had none.My 1986 model is built to look like a 1987 model, or "cloned" as some call it. I built it to look like this because I like the looks of the 1987 models better, and they are a rarer model. Many folks think it is truely a 1987. This is a solid running trike after lots of time was spent restoring it. It was not in very good shape when I bought it.
