For sale is a ONE OWNER 1986 Polaris Indy Trail with 282 actual miles. This sled has the 488 twin motor with dual carbs and is fan cooled. This sled was sold new in central Michigan. Sled is a runner. I was told the gas and oil tank have both been drained and flushed and new automotive gas line has been installed. Sled has electric start and it also works. Hood is near perfect with NO cracks. Hood has one scratch, see picture. Seat is also near perfect, see pictures. Windshield is clear and I believe original as it is tinted to match sled. Sleds trailing arms are both rusty but are perfectly straight. Front suspension is also rusty but complete. Rear slide rails are gold colored and will clean up nicely. Rear suspension is also a little rusty but complete. Track is same as new. I also have some paperwork to authenticate this sled and it owner.Now for the bad or should I say missing. The air box is gone as is the belt cover. The fuel shut off petcock has also been eliminated. One of the rubber hood tie downs is broken. The right side belly pan POLARIS emblem is scuffed. Battery works but is not the right battery for the sled. Automotive fuel line has been installed. Brakes DO NOT work. Brake system appears complete but lever goes to the bar. Brakes are hydraulic not cable operated.I have several pictures and will take more if you have questions. For a Polaris collector or Vintage rider this sled would be a very good addition.This is a NO RESERVE auction bid to own this classic.I will NOT accept paypal on this item. Cash or Cashiers check and sled can be picked up when check clears bank. There is no rush to pick sled up. I have heated inside storage and will negotiate pick up time.I received a question asking if the speedometer had been disconnected. If you look closely at the picture of the track you will see it still has some of it's molding "TITS" still intact. I believe the miles are correct.
