Yamaha Raptor R1 1000cc 2008 This quad started life as a special edition yamaha raptor 700 2008 and has been turned into a true animal as you see it now!! The quad now has fitted a new 2016 Yamaha R1 big bang crossplane engine. This is by far the best engine the R1 has ever been fitted with and has some serious power and not for the faint hearted !! Throughout building this has had no expense spared and no corners have been cut, although there has been a lot of fabrication involved in this build everything has been fabricated to run OEM Raptor or R1 items, meaning if in time the new owner wanted to change anything for any reason the parts can be obtained without having the cost of having to have items made most can be purchased off the shelf ! The engine that was fitted has been installed complete with the original R1 airbox and secondary injectors, including the full r1 wiring harness so the quad runs perfect without struggling to keep it running at idle as most do when the r1 engines are fitted and oem air boxes have been removed. I had the frame modified and engine fitted by a specialist bike builder in order to ensure the engine once fitted was installed at the exact angle that it was positioned in the bike resulting in prefect running and not having the vibrations through the frame.
