This is a very rare true barn find. 1971 Somovex Chimo mini snowmobile. I found this while on the hunt for old garden tractors. It had been setting on a wagon in the barn for several years. I got it home it has been repainted at one time last picture is of one when new. You can see the white paint unde the green and aluminum. Hood is in nice shape, track looks good. Engine is a 5.5 Honda. Had been setting but with fuel started on 3 pulls. Runs good. It does act like loading up with fuel so guessing needs carb cleaned. It moves. Did not actually ride it but pulled throttle open and it took off. Only thing I saw was on the suspension looks like could have 4 sets of idlers but only has 2 seems to work fine that way don't know enough about them but would be very easy to add the other little wheels. With just a little tlc this sled would be ready for a youngster to have a blast. Or would make a pretty easy restoration project. I did a little research looks like these are Very rare. They also built the same sled labeled and sold by JCPenny. I have this listed as pick up only here in northern IN but can send it fastinal for aprox $150.00 plus $40.00 to put on pallet and drop off. Payment in person within 7 days of end of auction at pick up. Or a deposit through PayPal then balance at pick up. Pick up must be within 60 days otherwise becomes my property. Can store indoors for 30 days after that it will have to set out.
