I've owned and had big fun riding these sleds over the last 35+ years. I'm not supposed to ride these due to health (heart) reasons. 1978 Panther 4000 (440cc), and 1979 Panther 5000 (500cc). Both have key-start electric starters. Both have stock speedometer, tachometer, and twin head-temp guages! They've been stored on a trailer (not included in sale), and they both run - I last started, and let them run in early summer. Probably wouldn't be a bad thing to spray/clean out the carbs and replace the fuel lines, as I did that annually when I could ride. The saddles need some help - typical wear for vintage machines with snaps and rear top seams. Ride them for fun! Or part them out. This listing is a pretty good deal :-) I have some extra parts that I've been able to accumulate over the years, that are also included. Priced at only $1/cc :-) Bring your trailer (Pick-up only... Well, I might drive a little distance...) - located just north of Indianapolis, Indiana.
