Here is a 1959 C74 Silver Pigeon Scooter. These scooters were manufactured in Japan by Mitsubishi. They were marketed in the USA by the Rockford Scooter Company. These were sold from 1958 to 1964 in Montgomery Ward stores.
When the scooter was rescued it was a runner. It was stripped down and painted. The scooter was built for and used in a movie. It would make a great piece as a static display. The bike is presently not running but needs very little to run.
The engine is the original Mitsubishi 192cc 4 stroke. Has the original Nikki carburetor. Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a jackshaft that is reversible for 2 different gear ratios. Love the mechanism that starts the bike. It's simple but elegant design. To make the motor a runner it needs a throttle cable, exhaust pipe welded, wire up the ignition and a few nuts and bolts. The body panels are excellent and straight. The paint is not show quality because it did not have to be painted pristine for the movie. From 5 ft and 5 MPH is looks great. It has all original emblems on it. New floorboard rubber mats with Pigeon emblems. The handlebar grips are original. Ignition and light switch is original. This model did not come with a horn or speedometer. The only missing component is the front fender. One recently sold for $20 on Ebay. The front tire may be original. The rear is not. The scooter was used on a farm so they had added the rear tire to get traction with that massive 192cc motor!! The rear brake will need some work.

The underside of the scooter is just as nice. Has a nice solid muffler. It even has the brake light switch! No bids from anyone without greater than 5 feedback without we discussing first. Any bids without 5 feedback will be rejected discussing first. This is a NO RESERVE auction. Goes to the highest bidder.
