It's time for a downsizing. This is a 1974 Raider Double Eagle project sled, that I am not going to be able to take on at this time. I have too many other projects.This machine is all original, and in need or refurbishment or restoration. You decide. It has not run since 1983, but it has spark and compression. The fuel system will have to be gone through, but the tank seem to be good. The engine, clutches, and carb are all original to this sled. The engine is the 440cc Kiortz/CCW two stroke fan cooled engine. All of the parts and bits that are usually broken or missing on Double Eagles are present. The original paint work is good enough for an original rider. Seat bottom will need vinyl, but it is dry. The original windshield has a small crack. I have not run this machine, but the seller told me it was an excellent runner. This auction includes some NOS and used parts for the restoration. See photos for condition.Raiders ride like nothing else out there, and can be ridden in comfort and safety anywhere. Even going 45 or 50 mph, you will feel like you are in an open wheel race car. At least I always do. They can climb hills like nothing else from the era, and are NOT "tippy". I've been riding, collecting, and restoring Raiders since they were new.
