Up for auction, one clean example 1984 Yamaha 225 DX ATC three wheeler, more fun than an ATV.  This is a low hours good running machine with recent servicing, i.e., new tires, new ignition coil, oil and oil filter change, fresh fuel line and petcock valve, new air filter, differential lube, fresh spark plug, etc).  Fires right up with push button electric start, or pull start.  Machine is all original with the exception of those items listed below, the stickers have been replaced.  Shaft driven model with no reverse, brakes work well front drum rear disc, all lights working and shifts smoothly through all five gears - no clutch with semi automatic transmission.   No museum piece here, there are scratches and signs of wear and parts of the frame, engine and rear differential/brakes have been painted black with corrosion and heat resistant coating.  Overall good condition and mostly OEM Yamaha trike in working condition - these were somewhat rare with low production numbers in 1984 from what I understand. The following are non-stock parts: the front wheel is a thinner 'sport' variety, megaphone muffler and updated mud flaps and yellow fork boots, plus a few replacement smaller nuts/bolts here and there.  It would be easy and relatively inexpensive to purchase an original front tire & muffler if the prevailing buyer prefers an all stock trike.  The rest is all there as depicted in the photos, battery bracket was modified slightly to accommodate the updated larger battery.  Also has RARE rear 3" wheel spacers, with the net result a MUCH more stable riding trike.  Good immediate torque with the shaft drive, engine runs strong - this trike is fast and NOT FOR BEGINNERS.  Please note that this collectible ATC is in good working condition BUT 32 years old and sold "AS IS", bill of sale only.  Bidders in the greater Bay Area are welcome to come and inspect / start the trike up if interested.  $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction close, I reserve the right to cancel bids from buyers with less than 10 feedback entries.  Local pickup in South San Jose, or I will cooperate reasonably with Buyer's arranged shipping - Buyer responsible for ATC pickup and all crating and shipping costs.  Many thanks for looking at this vintage machine, bid with confidence - see 460 positive feedback rating (including, multiple prior ATC sales) without one negative comment.  My neighbors will thank the winning buyer, this Yamahauler is straight out of Road Warrior and a unique machine for fun or your collection.Like Yamaha Tri Z Honda 250SX Honda 250R Honda 200X Honda 185 Honda Big Red Kawasaki Tecate Three Wheeler 3 Wheeler
