Description
Fuel Type: Gas

I have acquired the coolest moped I've ever seen! It is a Italian Made Doniselli folding moped.  I was told it was a 1971 but I do not know for sure. The engine is a Gyromat. This moped does run, and it runs pretty well!  Everything seems to work as it should with the exception of the horn which does work, but is very faint. Some of the cables have wear and cracked casings, and the throttle cable is tight, but does operate. The headlight, and tail light both work. The carb does leak some fuel if the petcock is left on when its not running.  Its not constant but definitely drips, so I would imagine the carb should be rebuilt. I have personally ridden this moped, it is very small compared to most, but goes pretty well for what it is. This is in its original state, without having been restored so cosmetically it is no where near perfect. Both fenders have some damage, the rear tail light assembly/fender seem skewed to one side.  The tail light wiring has been played with, and has a on/off switch rigged in that I do not believe are original. Most of the chrome has some damage/pitting including the handle bars, and controls and rims.  The front rim has severe pitting.  I'm not sure how well it will clean up, would probably need to be rechromed to be mint. The pedals are plastic and I do not believe they are original, one has some damage to it. The inside of the tank is not mint, but has not effected its operation. The spark plug wire has been modified. The paint is original and not in the best of shape. I am in no way a moped expert, but this thing is pretty cool for a barn find.  I am trying to note all the flaws I have noticed, but I am sure I am missing details that may be important to you.  Please look at photos closely, ask questions, come see it in person, or request more photos of anything specific that may be important to you, as this item is being sold as-is for restoration (or fun as it is), with no returns. I would prefer local pickup for this item, I am willing to work with your shipper, or strap it to a skid for you to send a courier, but buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I am also traveling to Florida from CT around 8-15-2016, if you happen to be on the east coast, I may be able to deliver, but please confirm this with me, prior to bidding.
