This is an original Whizzer 24" Pacemaker from the Pontiac Michigan Manufacturing Plant. It is NOT the later made Schwinn Pacemaker, but was produced in 1948.My husband purchased the bike 15 years ago. The tank was drained and the the Whizzer was stored in a our basement and it has not been started since.There is an older restoration of a few items and the bike has very few scratches. The new parts consists of: luggage rack, fenders, belt guard, handle bars, 6 volt cycle light and horn, exhaust and license plate bracket. We originally intended to have the bike painted to the old Whizzer maroon color and the paint and thinner were purchased for this project that was never completed. The paint will be included with this auction if the buyer prefers.The color on the bike now is a dark burgundy. It really is a gorgeous color The H engine is orginal to the bike. The front tire MAY be a replacement, but we are not sure. It is marked H-137858.The present condition for an antique bike is near perfect! The Whizzer is located 25 miles east of Columbus, Ohio and must be picked up by the buyer and shipped at his expense. We will also deliver to a 300 mile radius for a $500.00 delivery fee.We are only selling this item, because my husband is aging and can no longer pump and start this great machine. It was running perfectly the last time he drove it.
