Up for bid is a pair of 1969 Ski-doo Sea-doo jet ski personal watercraft. These are getting almost impossible to find in original condition and are a great addition to the collection of any vintage Ski-doo enthusiast. I bought them as a project but with two Harley trikes and a resto-mod Corvette in line ahead of them I decided to sell them. Sea-doo #1 is the one with NY/FL registration. Supposedly it was running when they put it up many years ago but who knows. It is pretty much all together except for the jet discharge plate assembly and maybe some inner jet parts. The 372 liquid cooled motor and jet pump turn freely by hand but one cylinder feels like it has more compression than the other. The hull has had several holes drilled in the bottom so the Sea-doo could be mounted on a display bracket, sounds scary but should be an easy fix for an experienced fiberglass person. The motor serial number 1650185 matches the boat nameplate. Hull serial number is 93106850. Sea-doo #2 has the motor out, it is the one on the mounting plate in the picture and the serial number 1650117 matches the boat nameplate. The motor crankshaft turns over freely but the pistons are scuffed and the cylinder assembly ( in the milk crate) has some pieces broken off the bottom. It could probably be welded and re-machined. Hull serial number is 93106075. The jet pump input shaft turns over freely and the jet on this one appears complete. The muffler is in place. There is a pretty good sized piece of gel coat missing just in front of the jet intake but once again, an easy fix for an experienced fiberglass person. Included in the sale are the keys to both boats, two covers, two re-upholstered seats ($200.?), two complete decal sets ($150.) enough new rub rail to do both boats ($120.) and several parts books and manuals ($40.). So all together about $500. worth of stuff is thrown in. The other motor with no mounting plate is seized so probably the flywheel is all that can be saved. You can see in the pictures that other than some stress cracks the topsides of both boats could probably be buffed out to acceptable original appearance. Fix and paint the bottoms Ski-doo yellow (the rub rail hides the transition) and away we go. Terms are cash in my hand when they are picked up. Pick up is expected within a week of auction close unless we work something out, great time of year to vacation in Maine and pick these up. Check my feedback and bid with confidence, I tell it the way it is. Last week a bare Sea-doo jet pump sold on ebay for $300. Good Luck!
