1970 LAMBRETTA DL200 (L-39)The Italian made Lambrettas have become the most collectable scooters in the world based on their rarity and advanced engineering.  The DL200 is regarded one of the most significant models as the last to be made at the Innocenti works in Italy.  This DL200 was discovered by us in Italy and recently arrived here in San Francisco.  It is a rare find and exceptionally rare in the US.The GP/DL models were first produced in Italy at the beginning of 1969. In the Italian market they were badged as the "De Luxe, or DL” and were badged as "Grand Prix or GP” for export markets. Sadly, Innocenti decided to halt scooter production and the last scooters rolled off their Italian assembly line in 1971.  The DL/GP model was the last scooter model to be produced by the Italian factory, and was later licensed to a factory in India, where they were produced for a few more years. The Italian version is far superior in quality to the Indian, and they are highly coveted. The GP/DL range was designed by the famous Italian design studio of ,who was also acclaimed for designing several legendary vehicles for , , and .As the last of the line, this series has all of the best technology developed by Lambretta and the 200cc model was the fastest Lambretta ever made with a top speed over 70 mph.We scour the globe for the best scooters available, and we sure hit paydirt with this particular Lambretta DL 200.  Only around 9,000 of the DL/GP 200’s were produced in Italy, making them the rarest of all the Innocenti 200’s.These were not sold in the U.S., and as far as we know, there are only a handful of the genuine Italian-made DL/GP 200’s in the U.S. today. This one is in very good “conserved” condition. It has not been restored, but shows a fine patina and only slight wear and weathering. Odo shows 15K kilomwter  It looks great and rides fantastic, with strong acceleration, solid handling and good brakes, including the innovative enclosed disc front brake pioneered by Lambretta. This ain’t a garage queen, but a real sharp, rideable classic.  Virtually certain to appreciate and really fun to ride. With the low production numbers and the fact that these have been in high demand pretty much since they were new, there are not a lot of them left in this condition. A gem!A rare and very collectable Lambretta priced accordingly. This is a genuine Italian made scoot, unmolested and very original ... an uncommon find for the true Lambretta enthusiast.Comes with California title and clean DMV record.Shipping available anywhere in Continental us for $495 flat fee.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ABOUT BELLO MOTO -- "Scooters Are Our Passion"We are your #1 resource for vintage Vespa, Lambretta and all classic scooters. We ship anywhere in the USA and to most International locations.BELLO MOTO is dedicated to classic scooters from Vespa, Lambretta and unique European brands.
