1985 Honda ATC250R - NOS CollectorA rare opportunity to own one of the finest 1985 ATC250R’s available for sale in many years. Perhaps the most anticipated year ever, the liquid cooled 1985 model ATC250R is considered by many to be the pinnacle year for the Honda ATC and the 3 wheeling era.I purchased this 250R last year as a one owner, titled, very low hour original survivor. The machine was ridden very little in sand and was in exceptional original condition. It was deserving of a full reconditioning as a top quality collector. Upon request, I do have photos available in it's original condition with original tires/fenders etc. I encourage you to view this 250R in person if that is an option.
The headlight shroud, front & rear fenders and radiator shrouds were replaced with flawless, NOS genuine Honda plastics. It wears the very rare, factory correct, NOS Dunlop tires (KT576 front, KT577A rears). The fork boots, grips/ends, and chain slider are new OEM Honda. With the exception of a MOOSE brand air filter, only new OEM and/or NOS genuine Honda parts were used to include fuel lines, hoses, and clips. The original seat is flawless and very close to NOS condition as are other key components such as the headlight switch, throttle cover, rear grab bar, exhaust, lower fork tubes, chain, axle, and undercarriage. Rear grab bar is original and unrestored showing no sign of abrasions.The gas tank is original to the ATC and is near perfect as are the original rims. All NOS/OEM packaging was retained and will go to the new owner if desired. This machine was fully serviced to include a carb clean & kit (Shindy brand - Japan) and received an oil, coolant and brake fluid flush. I started this 250R on a fuel cell; the gas tank is free of fuel. The 250R starts, idles and shifts as new. All lights work including high beam as do the front/rear brakes and park brake. It comes with it's original & complete tool kit in the tool box.The remainder of the 250R is factory original and unrestored to include the engine, frame and swingarm paint; the stator cover was OEM-match powder coated. The engine is original and has never been opened. This six month project was documented and photos are available upon request. This Honda ATC250R will satisfy the most discerning collector and compliment the finest of motorsports collections.
