If you follow my auctions you know I have been selling used ATV's on eBay for longer than any other powersports seller and find nice used machines to sell weekly. This week I found what I feel is the best family machine built-the legendary Yamaha 450 Kodiak.Most everyone in the ATV industry feel that the Yamaha 400 and 450 are Yamaha's most reliable ATV's ever built-and that is saying something since Yamaha machines are the most reliable in the industry (yes better than Honda) Guys who work on farms or are pumpers in the oil industry regularly buy the 450 since they last forever (4 years ago there was a guy in Northern Ks that had 96,000 miles on one and was still using it daily, of course) Anyway, they are on a slightly smaller frame than the new "big bore" machines and as such are more nimble and can fit through places the others can't go. They are also easier to put in the back of a pickup and have room left over for gear-like your cooler and tents. That is also the reason I feel they are great for families. The slighter built people can easily ride them and not feel intimidated but mom and dad can hop on and ride double without a whimper from the machine. Ultra rugged and that legendary Yamaha build quality.
