Please be serious when bidding on this classic VW Dune buggy.
Here we have Full pan Allison Daytona. The cadillac of dune buggies.  94 inch wheelbase.  Solid full length beetle chassis.1 1/2 year documented restoration.
The body is believed to be a 1974 or 1975 body.
The chassis is from a 1968 volkswagen beetle with IRS and the title matches the vin #on the chassis.
Clean clear florida title in hand.
There are over 250 hours of labor on this paint job alone.
2 lbs + of Cobalt blue metal flake over black base. Shimirin' Pearl white stripes, then a gallon + of clear.
The chassis was fully restored and had fresh pans welded in and rear disc brakes installed. New brake master cylinder and front wheel cylinders. Plus all new brake lines / hoses. Chassis Cleaned and Coated in truck bed liner. Solid tranny mount.  74 freeway flyer transaxle.
AE block- dual port heads with a rebuilt German solex 34 Pict 3. Carb.
The 67 bug front seats have been modified to sit low and are on custom slides. A driver from 5 foot tall to someone 6 foot plus can drive this car comfortably. Im 5'11" and cant use the farthest back setting. Ample leg room in back seat for adults.
Beetle rear seat frames were Used in the backseat also, and are quite springy and comfortable. Three children could easily fit in the back seat. 1967 VW basketweave seat covers in off-white were used to cover the repaired , modified, and restored seat frames. A new in box spare set of basket-weave front seat covers are included with car.
There is also storage behind the rear seat. Enough to carry an umbrella, cooler, fold up chairs, towels, picnic basket, groceries, etc. Elastic netting holds down a bulging load if need be.
I use it as a beach car here on the island.  It is, in my opinion, 1000 times cooler than a family beach golf cart.
A fold up Bimini top has recently been added for shade and folds back to the storage area.  It includes a built in storage bag.
The engine is a 1641 with about 3000 miles. She will run 70+ Mph on the freeway.
Bf goodrich radial T/A 245/60/R14 on rear, radial T/A 185/60/R13 up front. One spare radial T/A front tire included.
Speedo reads fast due to small front tires.
This car turns heads and draws alot of attention.
The blue metal flake is incredible, and the pearl stripes take on a Faberge effect.
There are a few light scratches and chips, as this buggy has been enjoyed for 2 years since restoration. Nothing severe enough to detract from its beauty.
Wipers were never attached to the WORKING wiper posts. Hence the windsheild is still brand new looking.
We feel it's time for someone else to enjoy this nice buggy.  While its not a meyers manx, it IS an Allison Daytona long body, and the fully hand laid quality is impressive.  A good 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick in some places.
The build is documented at dunebuggyarchives in the forum / build showcase thread.    Consider there is $15K+ Invested in the restoration of this buggy.  Nothing was rushed. Local purcaser can enjoy VW technical support at local VW meetings.
Available for viewing anytime.  Ask questions. This buggy is ready to go.
Fly in drive home.
Thanks, mike.
