Vespa GS150 VS1 1955

1955 GS150 type VS1.
This rare Vespa is found in Denmark and have original Danish documents.
It has been stored since 1968. The owner did buy this in 1963 and right after repaint it write, inspired of the GS160. He had it for 5 years and took off the license plate in 1968.
The engine is almost seized. It moves a little. But it need of cause a total rebuild.
The 4 bolts at the flywheel look very big.
The leg shield has a reinforced front. I have never seen this before. There is no reason for this extra plate. No old damage to cover. I am sure this will be easy to remove. I do not think it is original.
The enamel Piaggio emblem is perfect, and goes true the reinforced plate. The nameplate also does this. It is possible to see the rivets behind the leg shield.
There was a thick spot of old “tar” or thick oil at the floor. When it was removed the paint came off in some spots there. It has also some small rust spots. But all in all, in very good condition due the years. The speedometer will look great with a new glass and rim. It is the original 120 km/h speedometer.
The rim and headlight glass is SIEM.
The SIEM rear lamp has original stoplight and the special stoplight switch is still there.
Fuel tank is perfect inside with no rust. Original Aquila seat.
There is no sign of the original paint under the write color.
There is keys for both lock. One for Steering lock and one for tool box door. 2 black original SIEM keys for the handlebars switch
