Fully Polished and Restored 1989 Suzuki LT500R Quadracer Quadzilla. This was truly a nut and bolt restoration. It was stripped down to bare frame and restored from the ground up. It's Rare and Likely the BEST example you will ever see or own. Still arguably the fastest Quad ever produced.A. The engine was completely disassembled. The cases were split and every part was inspected. The gears and shifting drum/forks are in perfect condition with no damage. The clutch discs and basket are in great shape. The cylinder was bored .020 and a new Wiseco piston installed. Every bearing, o ring, and seal that was available was installed with new. ***When the cases were split, both crank bearing pockets were machined and new steel linings were pressed in along with the new crank bearings; crucial and expensive to these Zillas! B. The hardware was completely overhauled and given special attention. Every piece of this quad that is aluminum was sanded, buffed, and polished to a bright luster. Virtually every piece of steel was chromed. All the nuts, bolts and washers that were available were replaced with polished stainless steel. C. The entire quad is wearing all brand new plastics and seat cover. D. All New mechanicals and maintenance items installed: Every bearing from the a-arms through the swing arm are new. The exhaust is an FMF Power core. The wheels are original to the quad an are polished as well. The brakes have all new linings and function as they should. New reeds were also installed. The chain is also new. The coil/stator was replaced with new. It has a new twist throttle installed with the original thumb throttle included. Headlight is functional. 4 brand new tires. This quad has only had 2 gallons of fuel run through it since completion, on flat, dry surfaces. E. This is a registered Quadzilla with transferrable ownership, meaning it's LEGAL to ride on approved lands/roads! As with all 2 strokes, you will need to jet it for your elevation, use and climate. I do have a nice selection of jets that will come with it. The quad runs strong. With all the work put into this machine, I haven't had the heart to take it into a field or dirt road to fine tune. It remains a show piece in my garage. Look at the pictures. They show the level of work that went into this machine. In a perfect world, the buyer would be local and just pick it up, but this quad could be shipped as well. Average rates to most of the country are between $300-$400. This would have to be worked out after the auction. I accept paypal and can hold this machine for you if needed once paid for. I am located in Sanborn, NY (near Niagara Falls) Please realize for this quad to reach it fullest potential you will need to fine tune for your environment and riding style. This is a BIG BOY toy and not for a child. Here is your chance to own probably the NICEST LT500r in the WORLD!!!This is for sale locally and will be sold at any time to the best reasonable offer. Call/text with questions,
Eric (716)445-8700 I may also be interested in trades- but value will need to be heavier on your end, and OF HIGH QUALITY.
