Up for sale is a super clean all original example of the last great 2 stroke racing quad, a 1989 Honda Fourtrax TRX250r Quad. This bike is completely original, stock condition. There is not one non OEM part on it. I am the second owner. It really has no issues at all. Stone stock, exactly as it came from the dealer. There are some light scuffs and normal wear from 28 years of light use and sitting around a garage. Previous owner was a couple who rode the California Dunes. This was the wife's bike. She said she never crashed it they only rode 2-3 times a year, and had not been to the dunes in nearly 5+ years when I bought it. There is absolutely nothing wrong it.Specific Condition Notes:
No mechanical or running issues that I can see
Runs mint, starts first or second kick
Motor has never been apart (stock stock stock) or opened up
Clean California title in handEverything is stone stock, down to grips, tires, and chain / sprocketsPlastic does have some light spider cracking / weather checking, but its not bad - see pics
Some parts of the white plastic has light / dull fade to it - not a big deal given its age, but worth mentioning
Plastic is not cracked or broken anywhereFront A Arms have some peeling paint, mostly around the welds / edges - again not a big deal, but worth noting
Seat is nice and mint, some super light stains, but hard to really noticeSeat is still pretty soft and not hardened
Normal wear and scuffs from a low hour Desert bikeIncludes original factory Honda tool kitOhtsu Tires are a little worn, maybe at 65% of tread life.
Front right tire (on the inside) has a little plug on it, not noticeable unless pointed out
Axle has some light surface rust on edges, which is normal for these bikes. Its not bad, see picsThats about it. Overall a super well preserved and very nice 89 TRX.
Please look closely at the photos. This is an all original, unmolested stone stock 89 TRX 250r. I have more photos if you want them and can email, but please be clear what you want to see. It is nearly impossible to find a TRX in this condition, and they do not come along very often, if ever.The boring stuff (but please read):Shipping: I can assist with shipping or you are free to organize your own. I can currently ship insured (with a $500 deductible) and enclosed anywhere in the USA for $500. If you live in Maine, Long Island or the Florida keys there is a surcharge, but outside of that, the shipping rate is $500 to anywhere in the lower 48.
I can and will ship international, but the buyer must coordinate this, as the process can be cumbersome. I will assist as best as possible and do have really good access to shippers to the UK, Europe and Australia. I can also ship to the middle east as well. But please note that all paperwork will be handled by the buyer. Seller Notes: If you are a serious buyer and have the money in hand, I am happy to talk to you on the phone about whatever questions or interest you have in the bikes. But please, no time wasters or tire kickers. If you are a serious buyer, it is available to be shown, but I am not looking for tire kickers or time wasters. The bike is located in Northern California. Payment: A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of closing, or a friendly phone call or clear email on who you are and how you intend to close the deal. I am very easy to work with, but a little clear communication goes a long way with me. I have been stifffed by zero feedback bidders more times than I care to admit. Paypal is fine for deposit, but the fee and commission they take is very high. We will take payment however is easiest for you for to send, as we understand that some buyers might be out of the country. Cash, bank to bank payment, bank check, Paypal, WU, Carrier Pidgin - whatever - but as long as it clears our bank and you are not playing the Nigerian lottery with me, I could care less how it comes. Just make sure it comes when you say it will come.
