1978 Yamaha Enticer ET250, virtually new This ET250 is a totally new sled. It was used until I completely rebuilt it to new. Yamaha’s 250 Enticer is still well regarded and has a significant vintage following. The sled is light (310lbs), very fast for its size and it handles very well for a leaf spring snowmobile. Vintage racers snatch them up for stock class racing. Dad’s buy them for kids who are past the 120cc sled stage. I see used Polaris 120 minis selling for about $2000 used on Ebay. What do you buy the youngster? A tough-to-handle full size sled? Maybe a brand new lightweight midsize 250cc/23hp sled would be ideal. I pulled this sled all apart. The chassis, skis and suspension were blasted and painted with silver metallic automotive paint. All worn parts were replaced with new. Aluminum was polished. The engine was completely torn down and rebuilt around a ceramic coated piston. The hood is my custom SnoPro ET hood that I make. Hood hinges like stock. I painted the hood and made a seat to match. I used wider Yamaha spindles for better handling (see photo). I put aggressive carbides on the skis and studded the track with 40 picks. (Nothing goes faster in the tight tree lined trails than this sled-nothing.) The steering is altered: wider straight bars sit above risers and I used a motorcycle twist grip for a warmer thumb. The running boards are narrow for an adult so I put wide foot pads on the rear. Since the total rebuild I have put less than 10 hours on it. I’d guess that to be 20 miles. PS: the pan is nice but not perfectly new looking. Headlight turns with the handlebar This sled comes with an extra track which is the one ET250 part that is completely rare and a cover. Parts for Yamaha ETs are readily available everywhere. I can handle the shipping for you (about $350 I think, depending on distance). You pick up the cost, I do the logistics. Or pick it up. The reserve is modest Thanks Phil Phil Little Racing.com
