Description
Condition: Used Street Legal: Tx assembled vehicle title

This would make a good "street legal" or off road toy"It is titled as a "1968 assembled vehicle"It was rebuilt by the previous owner about 5 years ago, who passed away before getting to complete the project. It is currently running/ driving  and stopping.Transmission was rebuilt, new throw out bearing, shift rod coupler , and shifter bushing. I was told that the  engine was also rebuilt, neither have more than 20 miles on them. Engine is a 1600 cc dual port. Case and other parts were blasted/painted, new engine tins, chrome fan shroud, degreed pulley, new fuel pump, new plugs/wires/ coil. new chrome glass pack exhaust, sounds really good, like a big Harley!Brakes have all new hard and soft lines, master cylinder , etc. Rear brakes are custom discs with e-brake.It has new coil over shocks on rear and new empi shocks on the front. Some new tie rod ends were replaced as they were missing when I got the buggy. It has new headlights, tail lights, and turn signal lights, all LED's but headlights. turn signals, brakes, and horn all work!Seats have newish covers and lap belts. The floors are made out of heavy diamond plate, Paint shows a bit of age, chips, imperfections, but is still presentable and looks good going down the street! Since it has been sitting for a few years, I would probably throw a rebuild kit into the carburetor (about $20)  for good measure.A lot of the aftermarket gauges are not hooked up, not sure if previous owner wanted them for show. or planned on hooking them all up, either way, they are not necessary for a simple VW.This car is being sold "as is" no warranty, If you bid, you are bidding to buy it, not first right of refusal! $500 deposit is due  immediately at end of auction and is not refundable, this is to separate the serious bidder from the not so serious bidder. You are welcome to set up a time to come see the car, I will do my best to accommodate you. Happy bidding!
