1979 Datsun 280zx "Promotional mini-car". These cars were commissioned by Datsun to promote sales for the new 1979 280zx line at dealerships nationwide. This one in particular was sold at Hagerstown Nissan in Hagerstown, MD. The car is in good shape with all of its original stickers including the "vin" sticker as pictured. The car is NOT perfect, there are marks, cracks in the gel coat (car is fiberglass), a few repairs on the underside, etc... The car was upgraded with a 7 H.P / 212cc (pull start) engine. Starts on the first pull, every time. Has a upgraded torque-master clutch and new chain. The orig. (not running) Briggs & Stratton engine is available if you want it. Disclaimer: This thing SCREAMS!!! I'm guessing it does 35mph with a 200lb man driving. I highly recommend a helmet!! The tires are in good shape (1 is not matching was mix matched when we got the car), the seat is ugly, and the car is just a little too small for a normal sized adult. We've been driving it without the body, SO much fun!! Car is basically- 7ft x 3ft x 26" tall.
