Note* these two sleds offered have sequential VINs, are within a mile of each other usage wise and we're both Rebuilt less than 50 miles ago. I was not sure how best to stress the uniqueness of this package. In all my years of horse trading this is the first set like this I've come across. first...This auction is for two snowmobiles, a tilt trailer with sled mount and on a side note there is a Sport Craft side car/sleigh that can be purchased for an additional $750 outside of the auction that matches and would be a great accessory to this set up. This package was purchased brand new by a man and his wife. The man was as detail specific as he was close with his wife and this package shows just that. The man specifically requested sequential VIN numbers and for them to be identical sleds, to have a brother sled to the other as it was explained.   8921912 and 8921913 were built in November of 1988 and were considered a 1989 set. Both sleds are black and green and both have hand warmers, helmet heating cords and the 440 engines. The couple never left each other's side and both sleds went everywhere the other went resulting in a final odometer reading of 2516 on one and 2517 on the other. But wait...there's more!...The man religiously brought the sleds in for maintenance to the original point of purchase and less than fifty miles ago the man felt that it was time to REBUILD one of the sleds engines. He opted to have the other sled done as well to keep the package identical, yes, I'm telling the truth... now the story gets a little foggy at this point and we are not sure if one or both of the tracks were replaced as well. Something else extensive and largely un-needed was done, that much we do know. I will say that both tracks are as clean as you'll ever find a set of tracks as the sir now. AT THE LEAST we do know that multiple track wheels were replaced. At this stage we have cleaned the machines up, went through the carbs, lines, new fuel, etc. both sleds run perfectly and both headlights work in both low and high beam, as do the tail lights. One point to bring up is that the emergency cut off button on one has been bypassed and the cut off tag/cord that comes with all sleds has been attached on one due to the cut off button getting a bit loose. A common occurrence with older sleds and why all older sleds come with that option. As you can see from the pics the original paperwork is still intact and in awesome shape. The two Artic Cat pink extra spark plug cases are included as well as the remnants from the original tool kits that came with the sleds. The sleds have not been registered since 2002 and that is noted on the tags on each of the machines. 2002 looks to be when the rebuilds occurred. As you can see from the pictures these two classics are in unreal, original condition overall. One of the windshields has dropped a bit and the seats, although in great shape pad wise, have begun to crack a bit and. One loose in spots.I have opted to sell these sleds in somewhat the condition I found them short of getting them running well and cleaned up. Partly because I think the father/son/daughter, couple or ? that is lucky enough to buy these could enjoy tinkering/restoring the last little things left to do to make this set a time machine like super find. I have also decided to include the tilt trailer, which is in good overall shape (may want to just replace the plywood eventually), as it came along for the ride with this amazingly retro/old school/classic/unique and DAMN near one of a kind set as an original purchase package deal. This package is sitting in Plaistow NH and is ready for its new owners to back up to, hook on the 2" ball and take it to their new home COMPLETE with cool ass, TRUE! story and bragging rights as this really is what must be a very rare, last of its kind, needle in a haystack deal. Side note* the SportCraft sled/sleigh is an extra that would make the perfect add on/accessory. Great for supplies or grand kids it is the same color and of the same era. Cost on that will be an additional $750 outside of the auction if interested.
