Once featured in AWOL Magazine. Previous owner then changed the colour to purple (from yellow and black) and updated some of its features.Exhaust is mini LCB on to custom made side exit pipe. Makes a nice noise a bit like a mini RC30 system.New guards front and rearNew LED rear lampsNew mini front indicatorsChrome clutch coverAlly rocker cover Hydraulic clutch using an MGF master cylinder.Mini brake master cylinder giving dual circuit brakes split front and rear.Mk 1 subframeNew front pads. The rest is mainly custom made or mini. Reason for sale: I accepted this as a part ex against a vehicle I had for sale. Trikes are not really my thing, but I accepted it as my brother said he would take it off my hands and refurbish it. He will not have time to work on it until next year, so I thought I would see if there is any interest in it the way it is now (saves me storing it and transporting it). I currently have the new keepers part (sale took place today, Sunday 27th November) so I should have the full v5 in my name in the next couple of weeks. The previous owner said the following still needs to be completed. Recover and fit seat.Repaint frame (front part of the frame has recently been modified and needs painting, the rest of the frame was hand painted with black hammerite)Front mud guard has been dentedRefit rear mudguards (after wiring in lights)Finish plumbing the brake linesInstall a hand brake (hubs currently do not have handbrake servo’s, but parts included to install handbrake)Fit handlebar brake lever for front brakes (included)Wire up all of the lights.Requires a batteryRequires rear rubber suspension cones (or convert to springs, using a mini conversion kit) - currently pieces of wood are in place to stop the frame touching the wheels.Refit mirrors Everything is there to make a decent trike. More pics available on request. Viewing welcome and recommended. Advertised elsewhere, so may be removed before auction ends.***LOCATION**the trike is currently in Mill Hill London, NW7 and will need to be taken away on a trailer***BRAKES***Someone asked for more info on the brakes. my knowledge of bikes / trikes is limited,. the magazine describes the origional build: 'also came up with a nice solution to the traditional problem of how to hide the ugly parking brake on a trike. he just made the right footrest swivel through 90 degrees to jam the footbrake in the on position (not strictly legal; its supposed to be a completely mechanical linkage, ie no fluid'. the rear hubs are mini front hubs, so there are no servos for a hand brake connection. The braking would also brake both front and rear at the same time. this has now been updated to a Mini brake master cylinder giving dual circuit braking, split front and rear.the master cylindar is mounted, but needs plumbing in, and a handlebar lever is also supplied/needs fitting. they have also included rear mini hub plates and a handbrake, so a mechanical hand brake can be added to the trike.**WIRING**the trike was origionally wired up with trailer lights. these have been replaced with new led trailer lights, but nothing is wired up. the origional wiring loom is included, but it may be easier to start again.***Payment***cash / online bank transfer on collection please (no paypal)**Gear linkage**from the magazine 'he also sorted out the clever gear linkage so that it still operates as normal, even thought he engine is now located behind the lever (alot of them end up back to front you see)'
