Description
VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): 81094250 Make: Sears Allstate Puch Moped
Engine Size: 50cc. Model Year: 1958
Fuel Type: Gas mixed with Oil

Your buying a 1958 Deluxe model sears allstate puch moped. These mopeds were only made 1 year and they where the top priced model that sears sold in their moped line. This moped has the metal tool boxes mounted to the rear fender and gave the moped a look of saddle bags and could lock these up with a key but I do not have the keys. The inside of the tool boxes have the original leather straps with a buckle to tighten down what you had placed inside. The hinges are rusted and will need oil spray to loosen them up before you can open the tool box doors. Also inside shows some rust with each side having a small size rust hole and can see in one of my pictures. This model would of had the wind faring mounted on the front to protect the riders legs but I do not have those. This model also has a lock on the front forks neck to lock the steering out from other riders or from being taken by thieves, but I do not have key. It has some missing parts like the seat, peddles, carburetor, glass head lamp and chrome ring, clutch hand lever, and brake hand lever. Inside the head light case is all the original wiring complete to hook up to the head lamp and has the small bulb that lights up the speedo gauge at night and looks okay inside. The outside of the gas tank is chrome on top and paint on the bottom and shows some surface rust on the outside but the inside look real good with just needing flushed out and a good cleaning and should be able to use again as the tank is solid. The rear tail light is glass and cracked with the top bubble brake light okay. This was a 2 speed transmission that you twisted the left hand grip to change gears from 1st to 2nd. This was stored in a barn for many years and stored outside for a couple years and because of this is why you see the start of surface rust. The transmission is in first gear and the clutch lever is missing so I don't know if the engine is free and will turn over okay if it does not I think a person could spray solvent or oil in piston cylinder a couple days and let it set and then free it up, but I can't say if engine is currently free but probably will need to oil up piston and clean up this engine and should be able to get this original engine running again. The metal tag on the frame has number that read 810.94250 and the engine has numbers that read 6641 159. The clear cover over the speedo gauge shows some scratches and has 1330 miles on the odometer gauge with speedo going up to 45mph. The most of the cables are their with some still free and some that are stuck but maybe can clean them and free them up again but not sure. These are very rare to find in any condition and this one would be a great start for a restoration or leave original and put back on the road. I do not have the title and I just put brand new tubes and tires on this moped and the only way tires come with moped is if buyer pays full buy it now price any offers below full price moped will come with used vintage condition tires that will hold air. Any questions on this moped please ask pick up will be free and buyer will need to make shipping arrangements of your own. If you have moped shipped will be fine to store in my garage until arrangements are made with in reason. This sale will be lower 48 states only no Alaska or Hawaii sorry and no international sales on this one sorry.
