My dad bought  Kodiak in 2007, Shortly after the cooling fan went out, and he parked it. This yr2016, I put a cooling fan on and took the Kodiak to a service shop to clean and tune the carburetor up. so, it was used till 2007 then parked. Runs fine now, just a little cold natured and needs to warm up for a few minutes. new battery also.
