Offering for your consideration, a new 1971 Bug Stinger Enduro. This kart has never been on the track, never had an engine mounted, absolutely new. The paint is showing scratches from many years of moving around in storage. The bright work, upholstery, wheels and tires are in great new condition. Wheels are the correct Nylite Super Lights with OEM new Carlisle Indian Head 3.40 - 3.00 x 5 tires all around. The Airheart Hydraulic Brake has never been filled with fluid and the system is in great shape, ready to be filled and bled. Kart comes with a 175 caliper. The tanks have never seen fuel, one flip filler cap chrome was peeling so I sanded and painted with Rustoleum chrome paint - not perfect but not bad. The other filler cap is in very nice shape. The engine mounting plate is waiting to be drilled to mount the engine of your choice. McCulloch or Komet would be period correct according to the brochure. Kart has a nice chrome axle and comes with an 8 oz chain oiler. The butterfly wheel has taken some abuse, and I filled a scratch in the wood with plasticwood and stained the wood after. Minor scratches in the aluminum of the wheel spokes can likely be buffed out. I have tried to provide an honest description. Look at the pictures and ask questions before bidding. All of this was standard equipment in 1971. See pictures for condition and copy of brochure downloaded from old Bug Site. Cost of shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will assist in shipping. If necessary I will disassemble the kart and the tanks, wheels, and steering wheel will be shipped UPS. The kart will be bubble wrapped and enclosed in cardboard for shipping with Greyhound. I will deliver to my greyhound station about 45 miles from me. I will pack and deliver to Greyhound as described for $75. You will be required to pay all shipping charges for packing, UPS, and Greyhound.
