Description
Make: Late 50's model sears allstate moped. Engine Size: 50cc
Model Year: 1957?-1958?-1959? Fuel Type: gas

Up for auction is a late 50's Sears Allstate Puch moped in used condition and have never heard this run. I purchased this as a fun project to rebuild and maybe ride again but I am in need of some cash so decided to sale as a parts machine or something somebody can repair and possible run again. Its been taken care of the rear tail light has been added on and is not correct one as is the seat not correct and the peddles not correct. Everything else looks correct to the Late 1950's era and the seat and peddles along with the taillight look to be off a 1970 Allstate model moped. It has been repainted over the factory original paint red and black. The engine is in first gear and the peddles will turn when you pull the clutch lever in but the cables are hooked up to transmission wrong so don't know if shifts okay or if engine has good compression and will even run only can tell you sure looks to be in good cosmetic condition and when clutch lever pulled in peddles will turn free along with rear wheel. The fuel cap and inside of fuel tank are very clean and no rust. The rear tire is a Sears Allstate tire that holds air and the front tire is a little newer and holds air as well. The headlight is broken right where it mounts to the handlebar neck and will need repaired. It has a complete engine with all its parts and is the 2 speed transmission model that you clutch it and twist the left hand grip into first and second gears. Again I have never heard this engine run and do not know if it will need work done to its internal parts or has good compression only that when I purchased it the transmission was in neutral and the peddles turned the engine over free but I shifted it in first and discovered the cables where not hooked up correct and couldn't get it shifted back to neutral because of cables and just never had the time to really look things over to try and see if could get engine running again and put back on the road. But if you need parts or would like to try and get this machine running again its not in real bad condition and maybe possible? Shipping will be up to buyer to arrange or making pick up will be free and up to buyer as well. If the buyer needs to store it until they figure out shipping or make pick up this will be no problem can store in my garage for a certain period of time within reason. Please ask any questions on condition or shipping or picking moped up before placing a bid if you have any. Good Luck to all bidders going to list a very low starting price so maybe able to win this on the cheap end and god bless to all.
