Here is a rare 1986 Yamaha Tri-z YTZ250 that has spent its life here in Southern California. This ATC runs excellent and starts on the first kick even when cold. It is ready to ride and enjoy the day you get it. There are no fluid leaks and nothing is loose or rattling etc. It is very fast!! Shifts thru all six gears smooth, and the clutch does not slip. All the plastics' are original oem and have no cracks. There are some scratches here and there. The rear shock feels very nice and firm and is not blown. The front forks feel very nice and just had new seals and fluid installed. The front and rear brakes work excellent. The fork boots are oem and the right side has a small tear as shown.
There are some paint chips and marks on the frame.
Plastics has some scratches.
On the grab bar the flag/ whip mount broke and there is a repair on it.
Right side foot peg is a little bent.
The paint on the frame has some paint chips and fade. New chrome Yamaha levers
New Yamaha Grips
New sticker decals
Spark plug, fork seals, Trans oil, and coolant was just replaced.
New after market seat cover.
New OEM Yamaha light bulbs have been replaced. Front Head lights and tail light works.
Has ITP Rear Hole Shot tires 20x11-8 with lots of tread left. One tire has a plug in it.
Front tire is a Dunlop 23x8-12 with good tread left and has no plugs.
The fuel system, and carburetor was completely serviced and Carb is jetted.
Has a DG Type II exhaust silencer, K&N air filter, and a aftermarket thicker adjust axle. (Maybe a Durablue)
Also has a aftermarket tool kit with new Nos mount strap. Not a show or museum piece. Solid Nice rider, or possible restore piece. I picked this up from a farm here in Southern California and had intentions of using it for a spare bike. Could use some extra space in the garage and I just don't ride as much as i used to. Very highly collectible ATC and a blast to ride. Great Investment at the same time! Yamaha built these in 1985 to compete with the Honda 250r and the Kawasaki Tecate. In 1986 Yamaha made upgrades. 6spd trans, one more inch of travel in the rear, larger thicker forks, etc. SHIPPING: Would cost around 300-800 depending on your Zip Code.
