For sale is my SECMA QPOD 50cc with 10 months MOT. The 50cc QPOD is a very sought after vehicle as these don't come up very often. This little car starts and runs well and benefits from the optional full weather protection kit. It has always been garaged or covered and only has 1900 miles on the clock. These 50cc QPODs are becoming rare and are already appreciating in value. This is the perfect first vehicle for a young person to get to school, college or work. Far safer and more comfortable than a 2 wheel scooter or moped. Especially with the full weather protection, seatbelts and useful lockable boot. It can be driven at 16 with a CBT and there is no need to wear a helmet. The fuel economy is quite remarkable. The windows zip down and the doors and roof can be easily removed, to turn the QPOD into a nifty two seater convertible. This little car gets so many waves and smiles whenever I drive it. (Compulsory Basic Training) and from 17 with a Motorcycle or Car driving licence. Powered by a 50cc 2 stroke Morini engine, this two seater vehicle offers high levels of safety for both driver and passenger including padded side protection bars, head restraints, 3 point inertia seat belts, roll over protection (stabilisers) and a safety glass windscreen. The body is made from a high resistance plastic that is moulded as a central cell and attached to an anticorrosion shell. The City is steered by handlebars with an automatic twist grip and braking is done via foot brakes. To keep extra dry, the optional roof and door are included with this model. With its knock-resistant bodywork and robust mechanicals, the CITY is cheap to service and easy to maintain. A comfortable driving position, simple controls and practical boot space make the CITY suitable for drivers of all ages. Interchangeable body panels and the CITY accessory range allow owners to add personality and character to this most distinctive mode of personal transport. The QPod range was launched in the UK by the Unique Motor Company (UK), founded by TV presenter Noel Edmonds, who import the vehicles from Secma in France, where the vehicles are also sold under the "Fun Tech" label.
