Offered for auction here with **NO RESERVE** is a 2014 spy racing F1 250 cc road legal Quad bike!!I know absolutely nothing about these things I'm afraid, but I'm sure anyone bidding does, and I'll fill in the information I know about it.The bike has had 1 owner from new and has only covered a genuine 70 miles from new!!I took it in part exchange about 6 months ago, and had sort of forgotten about it until now. But I'm retiring so it's got to go.The guy I took it in P/X from was in his '70's!!?? He bought it brand new from a dealer in Portsmouth in 2014 for the thick end of £3 grand, road it home the 60 odd miles to Bournemouth, and then never used it again as it terrified him so much I guess! He had a moment of sanity about six months ago and decided to buy a car off of me, and just happened to mention he had this thing and asked if I'd take it in part exchange, to which I agreed and took a flyer to help the deal along. It hadn't been started for a year so I got it recovered back here and gave it to my mechanic to get going. He charged the battery and took the carb to bits, as the float needle was sticking, and it fired straight up.He's a lot more "bikey" than me and took it for a spin and reckons it drives fine. I sat on it and drove it round the block and thought it was awful personally, but I am a bit more of a Jaguar driver to be honest :)The only thing he did say is that the handlebars are very slightly out when you're driving in a straight line, but reckons you just have to adjust this on the tracking which is pretty simple. I didn't notice to be honest, but was too busy just hanging on to pay much attention. The bike is registered with the DVLA and is 100% road legal apparently. It comes with the handbook and all the type approval documentation that was used to register it with the DVLA. It is currently SORN, but I've got the V5C2 slip so you just go online to tax it, and it doesn't need an MoT until June 2017 I assume, as that's when it's 3 years old.Condition wise a lot of it is virtually brand new including the engine, shocks, tyres etc...But the bloke didn't have a garage and kept it covered up outside. So as a result of this the bit where the handle bars bolt onto below the instruments is starting to corrode a bit, and there are about 12 allen bolts holding it together that have surface rust on them, but you can buy all the parts for these from the Spy racing website, and a set of new bolts is £20 quid on there if you wanted to replace them. There are also 2 bolts missing out of the rear spoiler as he had a top box on it I took off as it looked awful and he'd lost the 2 bolts where this was bolted on (I have got the top box if the buyer wants it). The paintworks all good with only a couple of very small scuffs that should polish out, and all the instruments and lights seem to work.See there we are! I've no idea what it's worth so it's being auctioned here with **NO RESERVE!!** as it's got to go this week and the highest bidder will own it regardless. There's no warranty with it whatsoever, but my mechanic reckons it's all good for what it is, and it should be really at 70 miles!!NO postage is available obviously due to it's size, so it's collection only that the buyer needs to arrange. I have got a pretty cheap guy with a trailer who might be able to deliver it. So if anyone wants a quote for delivery let me know with your postcode and I'll get one. But that will be on top of the winning bid, and I'll need payment in full including delivery before it sets off.In theory I suppose someone could drive it back? But they'd be a braver man than me!!If anyone's got any questions message me or call me on 07774 770265 and I'll certainly try and help, but I'm no expert. The bike is available to view in Bournemouth if anyone with a SERIOUS interest want's to come and have a look. This is a serious auction and a bid is a bid to buy. Anyone with less than 10 feedback message me 1st prior to bidding or I'll remove the bid. A 10% deposit will be required immediately at the end of the auction with the balance in cleared funds within 24 hours. Bank transfer, cash or debit cards can be accepted as payment.
