The YFM450 is a mid size utility Quad known for its toughness and reliability and featuring Yamaha's unique Ultramatic transmission.  This is a clean unit which has been well maintained and is mechanically sound. The on-demand 4WD/2WD and Diff-Lock has proved to be most valuable in slippery and muddy conditions.  It has been mainly used for moving mobs of cows and spot spraying averaging 7km/hr over its life. This 2006 model has 24,400 km and 3570 hours on the clock. The engine was completely overhauled a few years back by a professional mechanic (name provided if required). A non standard fuel shut off valve is fitted which needs some attention but the fix is simple.
The Aluminium checkerplate on the rear tray and footwells adds to the appearance of the quad and has proved essential to prevent our dogs from getting their legs caught.
