My apologies to the Vespa/Allstate purists!  This far-from-stock restored 1964 Sears Allstate scooter was one of my winter projects.  I generally work on vintage Hondas so this was a "project of choice" so to speak and I chose to do to it what I like to do to anything I am working on for myself, MODIFY IT, BABY!That being said, the bike was purchased in a completely disassembled state. Original paint was red with no front suspension and a very doggy 125cc engine.  I chose to paint it Toyota blue, as well as pump some life into the stock125cc original engine.  The scooter has a 177cc Pinasco top end, a performance exhaust and muffler and a high-flow fuel valve.  All new whitewall tires, seat, grips, cables, almost everything.  It is upgraded with a sprung and dampered front end and new parts everywhere.  It is VERY fast.  It's fun to ride, but I would caution a new owner to be cautious.  The brakes are new but stock, meaning they are meant to reasonably stop a 125cc scooter going 25 mph, not one going 55 mph!  The color is beautiful and gets a lot of attention.  The rear tire/luggage rack is powdercoated for durability.  Starts first or second kick and has lots of compression.  The engine is as detailed as the rest of the scooter and it's almost a shame it's covered.  The headlight is the original and is not working.  This scooter is titled in the previous owner's name, signed and ready to be transferred.  A $100 Paypal deposit is due at the end of the auction and the balance use in 7 days in cash or bank check.  I can deliver for a reasonable fee but please contact me first if you are more than 2 hours from the Baltimore area and want me to deliver.  Feel free to contact me with questions.
On Aug-31-16 at 08:10:04 PDT, seller added the following information:There has been a lot of interest in this scooter and I've been asked to provide some more information about the restoration.  The photos really don't show the attention to detail.  Since it was completely disassembled when I got it (even the speedo was in pieces), I had the opportunity to give attention to almost every part.  Nearly every fastener and part has been cleaned, painted, or replaced.  The foot rails are riveted like the originals using a ballpeen hammer.  The lower scooter body was coated with rock guard before painting, as was the underside of the front and rear fender. Parts were prepared and painted individually, wheels bead blasted then painted.  The paint is a single stage with a catalyst.  New parts alone total over $1200.  That does not include the paint costs.  The new front sprung suspension is a big improvement over the original design that was merely a pipe with a wheel on the end.  The inside of the fender skirts have 3M sound deadener added.  The inside of the luggage area on the left side is extremely clean and detailed with more sound deadener.  As I mentioned above, the engine runs as good as it looks.  It's beautifully painted and carefully assembled.  The power cannot be understated.  It has a lot of compression and starts right up.  Acceleration is exhilarating.  The old engine parts will go with the sale.  I had it at a show over the weekend and there was constant attention from people who were just drawn to it.  The color and detail catch your eye even from a distance.  Examining it up close is just as rewarding.  This is a lot of scooter for the price, well worth it.  If you are new to Ebay and have no feedback or transactions that's fine, but please do me the courtesy of contacting me before you bid.
