HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE AUCTION OF MY JOYNER 650CC SAND SPIDER, IF YOUR IN THE MARKET FOR ONE OF THESE THEN THIS ONE IS CERTAINLY WORTH VIEWING, IF NOT THEN THE LISTING IS WORTH READING AS YOU WILL GAIN A BIT OF KNOWLEDGE IF YOU DON’T KNOW YOUR WAY AROUND THESE BUGGIES.   PLEASE READ THE FULL LISTING PRIOR TO BIDDING THANK YOU.   SO HERE FOR AUCTION IS MY 2008 SAND SPIDER ROAD LEGAL BUGGY MADE BY JOYNER. I HAVE OWNED THIS BUGGY FOR NEARLY 2 YEARS NOW AND ITS BEEN BOTH A PAIN TO OWN AND A JOY.   FIRST AND FOREMOST THESE BUGGIES IN STANDARD FORM ARE PROBLEMATIC AND EVEN WHEN PEOPLE BUY THESE AND ADD LOTS OF EXTRAS TO THEM THEY ARE STILL PROBLEMATIC.   DOING MY OWN RESEARCH FOR 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO BUYING THIS IT BECAME APPARENT THAT THERE ARE COMMON ISSUES KNOWN AND DOCUMENTED ON THE WEB AND ALSO SOME THAT ARE NOT DOCUMENTED.   THIS BUGGY ITSELF WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW BY MY FRIEND WHO OWNS A CAR GARAGE, HE KEPT IT INSIDE HIS SHOWROOM FOR THE FULL TIME HE OWNED IT AND ONLY EVER USED IT ON ROAD AND IN THE DRY   HE HAD FITTED BY JOYNER UK A LTD SLIP DIFF, THIS DIFF IS A MUST HAVE IN THESE BUGGIES AS WITH THE STANDARD LOCKED DIFF THEY ARE A COMPLETE NITE MARE ON THE ROAD, THE SLIP DIFF WILL LET YOU ACTUALLY GO ROUND A ROUNDABOUT WITHOUT TRYING TO PUSH YOU STRAIGHT OFF IT.   I WENT TO PURCHASE IT FROM HIM BUT AT THE TIME I FELT THE ASKING PRICE WAS HIGH FOR ME..   WHEN I WAS LOOKING TO BUY ONE A YEAR LATER THIS CAME UP ON EBAY LOCAL TO ME AND I RECOGNIZED IT STRAIGHT AWAY, THE SECOND OWNER HAD HARDLY USED IT AND AS SUCH HIS 9 YEAR OLD SON WAS PETRIFIED OF IT.   I PURCHASED IT FROM HIM AND THEN THE FUN STARTED.   NOW ITS WELL DOCUMENTED ACROSS THE NET THAT THESE BUGGIES ARE UNDER POWERED AND STRUGGLE UP HILLS ETC..   THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH THIS BUGGY, I HAVE GONE RIGHT THROUGH THE BUGGY BOLT FOR BOLT AND DONE THE FOLLOWING.   SOURCED AND FITTED AN UPRATED ELECTRONIC FUEL PUMP ALONG WITH A FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, IN TURN I HAVE REMOVED THE STANDARD FUEL FILTER FROM THE BUGGY WHICH FLOWS LESS FUEL THROUGH IT THAN IT SHOULD AND ADDED AN UP-RATED INLINE FILTER. I HAVE ALSO SORTED THE TIMING OUT SO THE TIMING MARKS LINE UP NOW CORRECTLY WITH THE CRANK MARKS (COMMON FOR THESE TO BE IN-ACURATE ) THE CARB ON THE BUGGY HAS BEEN STRIPPED AND DYNO JETTED TO SUIT AND THE RESULTS ARE A BUGGY THAT NOW CLIMBS ANY HILL WITH EASE, AND TOPS OUT AT 68MPH ON THE ROAD,   THE BUGGY IS A 4 SPEED MANUAL AND 1ST,2ND,AND THIRD GEARS ARE SHORT WITH 4TH BEING A LONG THROW GEAR FOR LONG ROAD USE. WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING TWEAKS DONE THE BUGGY WILL GO FROM 8MPH TO 68MPH IN 4TH GEAR SHOWING THAT THE BUGGY HAS STACKS OF USABLE POWER.   FUEL ECONOMY IS GREAT AND I DO REGULAR 200-300 MILE TRIPS ROUND THE LAKE DISTRICT  AN OUTING EARLY IN THE YEAR WITH A FAT PAL WAS ROUGHLY 150 MILES, I BRIMMED THE TANK PRIOR AND FILLED UP ON MY RETURN AND I COULD JUST SQUEZE £2.47p IN THE TANK   OK FAULTS, WELL THESE DO SUFFER FROM THEM AND ONE OF THEM TO MY EXPENSE IS THE VERY COMMON AND EXPENSIVE DRIVE SHAFT ISSUE, BASICALLY THE REAR CASTLE NUT ON THESE BUGGIES COME LOOSE LEADING YOU TO THINK THE BEARINGS ARE SHOT, THIS IS INDEED THE ISSUE BUT THE WEAR ON THE DRIVESHAFT SPLINES CAUSES THE BEARINGS TO GO IN THE FIRST PLACE, YOU WILL CONTINUE TO TIGHTEN THE NUT AND REPLACE THE BEARINGS MONTHLY AS I DID, AND EVENTUALLY THE DRIVE SHAFT END THAT HOLDS THE CASTLE NUT WITH SHEAR OFF AS MINE DID, YOU WILL DESTROY THE HUB, DISC ETC ETC AS I DID ON A ROUNDABOUT, VERY SCARY AND A MASSIVE INCONVENIENCE WAITING FOR RECOVERY. THEN THE FUN STARTS, AS YOU TRY AND BUY A NEW SHAFT AND CARRIER, NOWHERE WORLDWIDE DOES THEM FACT, I KNOW THIS AS I TRIED EVERYWHERE. THE ONLY OPTION IS TO INSTALL THE “UPGRADE” THE UPGRADE IS THE JOYNER 800CC SHAFT, CARRIER, BEARINGS, PINS ETC   MY BUGGY NOW HAS THE UPGRADED SHAFT KIT INSTALLED BUT AS I HAVE OCD I MODIFIED THE SHAFT END PIN LOCATION HOLE AND MADE IT FIT A LARGER BORE SPLIT PIN AS THE ORIGINAL IS TOO SMALL AND I DIDN’T WANT THE SAME ISSUE TO HAPPEN AGAIN.   IF YOUR LOOKING AT A BUGGY THAT HASN’T HAD THE UPGRADE DONE THEN TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION AS IT WILL LET GO ON YOU IT’S A COMMON WEAK SPOT   ELECTRICS HAVE ALL BEEN UPGRADED ON THE BUGGY AS THE RELAYS ETC ARE WEAK.   THE BUGGY HAS HAD BRAND NEW BALL JOINTS RIGHT ROUND AND STEERING KNUCKLES LAST YEAR     THE BUGGY COMES WITH A SET OF LOW BEAM LED LIGHTS AND HIGH BEAM LED LIGHTS, THESE ARE A MUST AS THE STANDARD LIGHTS ARE LIKE CANDLES AND THE BULBS THAT GO EVERY 2 MINS OR OVER A BUMP ARE £7 EACH!!!! AND HARD TO FIND   THE BUGGY HAS BEEN FULLY ELECTRONICALLY LINED UP (TRACKING)   ITS NEVER EVERY BEN BUMPED, CRASHED OR ROLLED..   THIS JOYNER 650CC SAND SPIDER IS THE ONE TO BUY, IF YOUR IN THE MARKET FOR ONE THEN COME AND LOOK AT THIS FIRST, AND THEN GO AND LOOK AT OTHERS AS I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE BACK TO PURCHASE..   IM SELLING THE BUGGY ONLY DUE TO RUNNING OUT OF SPACE FOR IT AND PUTTING THE MONEY TOWARDS HOUSE BUILDING WORK…   THE BUGGY MILEAGE WILL RISE DAILY AS IM TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIS WEATHER.   THE BUGGY START ON THE FIRST FLICK OF THE KEY EVERY SINGLE TIME WITH OUT FAIL AND IF YOUR BRAVE ENOUGH OR FIT ENOUGH YOU COULD DRIVE THIS HOME   THE BUGGY HAS 11 MONTHS MOT IM HAPPY TO RE MOT THE BUGGY TO 12 MONTHS IF YOU WISH   COME AND LET ME TAKE YOU ON A TEST DRIVE I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED..   THESE BUGGIES RANGE IN PRICE FROM 2K UPWARDS BUT BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BUY, IF BUYING CHEAP,   IF YOUR BUYING ONE THAT HASN’T GOT ALL THE PAPERWORK THEN YOU WILL STRUGGLE TO INSURE IT OR MAKE IT ROAD LEGAL   THIS BUGGY HAS ALL IMPORT PAPERS, FULL JOYNER WORKSHOP MANUAL, MOT, FULL V5 IN MY NAME AND TWO SETS OF KEYS   INSURANCE COSTS ME 240 A YEAR AND IT RUNS ON FRESH AIR   SORRY IVE WAFFLED ON BUT I CANT STRESS ENOUGH THAT THESE BUGGIES NEED TO BE RIGHT OR THEY COST YOU A FORTUNE, THIS ONE IS ONE OF THE GOOD ONES
