This 250R is in great shape for its age. Seems to have decently low hours. I bought this bike at an estate sale. It had been parked in a shed for 25+ years. I went through all the hell to get it back in the DMV system and registered with a green sticker. I have pink in hand. The pipe had some surface rust so I pulled it off and painted it with heat paint. Also all the tires were dry rotted from sitting and wouldn't hold air so I replaced them with new. I know they are are not the original knobbies that come stock but I wanted to keep it true to the early 80's so I put the same tires the original owner had used before. I did a complete service; plug, oil and filter. The front brakes were froze so I rebuilt those too. Put fresh gas and she fired right up. The rear plastics have a few scuffs here and there and the front seems to be an 80's aftermarket fender with the famous air vents they used for racing back in the day. I bought two matching 250R's, seemed to be husband and wife combo. This one up for auction is the wife's bike. The husbands with take a little more work before I can throw it up on auction as their seems to be quite a few more hours on that one... I tried to upload a video of it firing up and idling but couldn't figure out how to upload it... It still has the tool kit under the seat and doesn't look like it's been touched. There was a small crack underneath the rear fenders where the fender support bolts up. I opoxied that and should be good as new, cannot be seen on the outside. Great vintage blast from the past!!
