This quad was purchased as a project to restore as it was advertised that not too much appeared to be wrong with it but may have a few parts missing or a bolt here and there. The seller advertised that he put the machine into the local bike shop for a slight werring sound in the transmission and consequently the bike shop was closed down so he recovered his quad as an unfinished repair. As the seller had 300 plus positive feedback score I bought it for CASH as the seller knew there would be no comeback from eBay/Paypal Dispute Tribunal. I traveled from Orange NSW to Victoria and arrived 9 hours later to a small coastal town called Maffra and introduced myself to the seller located at McAdam Street. The weather was so bad with wind and heavy rain that there was hardly an inspection made by myself and all I wanted to do is load it up and return to Orange for another 9 hour return trip. The following morning I unloaded the quad off my Ute and had a closer look at the machine only to find that the starter and all the gear linkages were missing along with a couple of bolts holding the left hand crankcase cover onto the engine. I removed the seat and placed some jumper cables on the battery leads and turned the key on, the bike had 17,400Ks on the clock which was another 1400 more kilometers that was advertised. Consequently I attempted to call the seller however he had already blocked my number, I think he pre-empted my call to have a quiet word:-)! I am selling the Quad as is, where is and happy for anyone to inspect before bidding as I will never deceive or be dishonest towards anyone, I'd rather be out of pocket than to rip anyone off however we all know there are B#@&ards out there without a conscience! I’m happy to assist with transporting into the back of my Ute and travel within reason at buyers expense if it’s not a local drop-off. Now positive about the bike is that the drive-train and engine is all there apart from what I have previously mentioned, plastics are in good shape, tyres and suspension are good and the exhaust is clean and not one bit oily which indicates a reasonable engine, all CVJ boots are in tact and no obvious signs of anything wrong. I honestly think the bike is salvageable if you can source the parts required or have another same model for spares? Please feel free to email me (Dave) or call/SMS 0434795109, I will respond when I am free as I have one of those jobs that keep my nose to the grindstone for the full day and then some. If you would like to pay through PayPal please be mindful that I will require to be financially compensated for the additional fees. At least you will be covered by the eBay buyer protection policy unlike myself but this is up to you. Happy bidding |
